Bob
Storck
converted from hot rods to sports cars in the early 60s, and started contributing
to national enthusiast magazines before the decade was run.
Aviation provided
his initial technical direction, and in his teens he built and flew his
own airplanes. Later Bob designed and raced his own prototype race cars,
competing in international endurance events -- domestic and abroad. He
flew Navy aircraft in the Viet Nam incident, and worked as an engineer
for multi-disciplined companies.
Some of his insights
on the auto industry came from designing robotic assembly processes for
each of the big four. He added to his engineering education with graduate
degrees in business and computer science, but is most proud of a fellowship
in history. His writings are peppered with references to past events and
trends that help put the current products and issues into context.
